Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data this website and our correspondence with you involve, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to meet the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and, where they apply, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations.
Who we are
SamurAI Technologies Ltd, a company registered in Israel, publishes this site and decides how the personal data described here is used (the “controller”). Write to us at office@samurai-tech.ai about anything in this notice.
What the site collects on its own
Almost nothing. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no advertising, tracking or other third-party scripts. Its fonts are served from our own host.
Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., keeps standard request logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested, and your browser’s user-agent string. They are needed to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
The contact form
The form asks for your name, work email and organization, and lets you add your role, the capacity you are writing in, and a note. The name, email and organization fields are needed to reply. Nothing in the form is required by law. If you leave the required fields out, we cannot answer you.
The form does not send anything to us. It composes an email in your own mail client, and nothing reaches us until you press send there. While you type, a draft is kept in your browser’s session storage, so a reload does not lose it. That draft stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is deleted when you close the tab.
Please do not send classified, export-controlled or otherwise restricted information through the form or by email. If a conversation needs that, we will agree a proper channel first.
Email and meetings
When you write to us or meet with us, we receive what you choose to share: usually your name, contact details, organization, role and the content of the conversation.
Why we use it
- to reply to you and arrange meetings;
- to hold and follow up on business conversations: design partnerships, customer engagements and investment discussions;
- to keep a record of that correspondence;
- to keep the site and our systems secure;
- to meet our legal obligations.
Under the EU and UK GDPR, our legal bases are our legitimate interest in answering and conducting business conversations you start (art. 6(1)(f)), steps you ask us to take before a contract (art. 6(1)(b)), and legal obligations (art. 6(1)(c)). We do not use your data for automated decisions about you, and we do not send marketing email to people who have not agreed to receive it.
Who receives it
- the four founders of SamurAI Technologies, who read and answer every request;
- service providers that process data on our behalf: Google (Google Workspace, our email) and Vercel (hosting);
- our professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality;
- authorities, where the law requires it;
- a buyer or successor, if our business is merged or sold.
We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
Transfers outside Israel
We are based in Israel, which the European Commission and the United Kingdom recognise as providing adequate protection for personal data. Our service providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where the law requires it, those transfers rely on recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards as a business record. After that we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer or we need it to establish or defend a legal claim. The form draft is gone when you close the tab. Hosting logs are kept only for the provider’s short operational period.
Security
We protect personal data with reasonable technical and organizational measures, and only the people who need it can access it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you and to correct or delete it. If the GDPR applies to you, you can also object to or restrict our use of it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email office@samurai-tech.ai. We will answer within the time the law allows. We may need to confirm who you are first.
You can also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or, in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority. We would welcome the chance to fix the problem first.
Children
This site is for professionals and organizations. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, for example if the form starts sending requests directly or we add analytics, we will update this notice first and change the date above.
